Iowa – USA: Light Art Grand Tour ⇒

On October 04th the Old Capitol will be put into the spotlight. Literally. It is one of the “Light Art Grand Tour USA” stops. In a 2-hour performance the Swiss light artist Gerry Hofstetter and his team will transform it into an art sculpture by projecting up to 20 images onto the landmarks. Some of them taken from the Wiedmann Bible.

Iowa City is not only known for being the world’s third UNESCO City of Literature, the University of Iowa has also been recognised as one of the nation’s top public Universities.

The Wiedmann Bible is part of the “Light Art Grand Tour USA”. The world-renowned light artist Gerry Hofstetter will travel all 50 states of the U.S. and put different monuments into spotlight that have played an important role in the country’s history.

Iowa entered the Union on 28th December 1846 as No. 29.
