1878 the Washburn A Mill was destroyed, then rebuilt, and shut down for good in 1965. It was the world’s second largest mill at that time. Today it is a historic museum. On October 6th it will also be an art sculpture. The world-renowned Swiss light artist Gerry Hofstetter and his team will transform the monument into an art sculpture by projecting up to 20 images onto the landmarks.
The Wiedmann Bible is part of the “Light Art Grand Tour USA”. Gerry Hofstetter and his team travels all 50 states of the U.S. and put different monuments into spotlight that have played an important role in the country’s history.
On 11th May 1858 Minnesota entered the Union as No. 32.
